Wedding Prioritizer

Instructions:

1.  Write down the description of all the major elements that will go into your wedding, including ceremony music, flowers, officiant, reception hall, photographer, DJ, etc.  If there are more than ten, include only the most important.

2.  Put down a value for each item, representing what that part means to you.  The more important it is, the higher value you should give to it.  Those values should total 100.

3.  Jot down the cost of each of these, or what you are planning to spend.

4.  Make sure items with the highest values (those that are most important to you) have a high enough budget that you can afford the best quality service.  Make sure that low value items don't eat up your budget, making you scrimp on those things that matter most.

5.  Spend your time like your money.  Prioritize those things with the highest value to you, and spend less time on those things that don't matter.  Delegate when helpful, and let those who help you know how much that means to you.

6.  Be honest with your values.  After the wedding is over it is too late to realize that something really did mean a lot to you and you wish it had been done with more quality.  If you decide to save on something or ignore it, be willing to accept the result of that decision.  (Not to imply that the highest quality will cost you the most - sometimes it won't.)

7.  Remember to prioritize your marriage over your wedding.
